This comes after the player was subjected to appalling "monkey" chants by some sections of the Valencia fans at the Mestalla on Sunday.
The issue has received huge traction, with several high-profile personalities in the sport having come out in support of the 22-year-old, including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Ronaldo Nazario.
A statement just released by Valencia reads: "Valencia CF, in line with the club's permanent commitment against racism and violence in all forms, announce that the police has identified a fan who made racist gestures at Real Madrid's Vinícius Jr in the Matchday 35 match at Mestalla on May 21st.
"The club are also working along with the police to confirm the identity of any other potential offenders.
"From the moment that the unfortunate events occurred, the club have analysed all the available footage, working alongside the authorities as rapidly as possible to clarify what happened in order to be able to act quickly and forcefully.
"Valencia CF have proceeded to open a disciplinary case, will apply the maximum level of severity, including a lifetime stadium ban against the fans involved, and is working closely together with the authorities.
"The club strongly condemn this type of behaviour, which has no place in football and society and does not correspond to the values of Valencia CF and our fans.
"Valencia CF have taken a strong stance against racism and have previously acted with the same forcefulness in 2019, with a lifetime ban for a fan who made fascist gestures to Arsenal fans in a UEFA Europa League game.
"The match against Real Madrid was broadcast live and it is totally false that the entire stadium uttered racist insults.
"There has been a lot of confusion and misinformation in recent days. Valencia CF wants to call for responsibility and rigor.
"This is a very sensitive topic and everyone needs to be factual and concrete with the facts. We cannot accept that Valencianism is labeled as a racist hobby. This is not true. We ask for respect.
"There is no place for racism in football or in society.
"Valencia CF strongly condemns racism.
"TOGETHER AGAINST RACISM."

The aggrieved winger has also been engaged in a Twitter back-and-forth with LaLiga president Javier Tebas, with the Spanish chief having also received a lot of criticism for the way he has handled the situation.
Tebas seemingly attempted to deflect some of the blame for a lack of action towards Vinicius after the Brazil star wrote on social media that LaLiga now "belongs to racists".
It is also reported that six match officials who were involved in the game on Sunday have been sacked as a result.
