"Midfielder of great talent and projection," the club wrote on X.

"Technical ability, vision of the game and ability to distribute the ball with precision.

"His promising future makes him an asset for the club. Welcome, Theo Zidane!"

The 22-year-old was a member of Los Blancos' youth set-up before progressing to the U18 and U19 teams, and eventually becoming a member of the club's reserve side, Real Madrid Castilla, in 2021.

However, having thereafter failed to break into the first team, Zidane left Real as a free agent at the beginning of July, and has now signed a deal that will keep him at Cordoba for the next two years.

"With his arrival, Cordoba CF reinforces its commitment to acquiring young talents that contribute to generating assets and building a competitive team that aspires to meet its objectives," Los Califas wrote in an official statement.

"The incorporation of Theo Zidane not only brings quality to the team, but also underlines the ambition to continue growing."
