Real Madrid 'eyeing' shock move for EPL player

LALIGA giants Real Madrid are reportedly planning a surprise move for a certain Premier League player to bolster their squad.

Carlo Ancelotti's men have been hit with a couple major injuries in defence, as Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are already ruled out for the rest of the season while David Alaba is not close to returning.

As a result, Spanish outlet AS have reported that Los Blancos are planning to rebuild their defence  for next season.

Reports in Spain claim that Arsenal's William Saliba remains a big target for the European champions, but they are aware a deal would be impossible due to the potential price tag.

However, Los Blancos are now keeping tabs on Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen who has been key in Bournemouth's impressive form this campaign.

The report adds that the Spanish defender would not be entirely interested in a move to the Santiago Bernabeu unless he has assurances of being a regular, as he does not want to stop his development.

While Real remain interested, Premier League giants  Arsenal and Manchester United are also reportedly enquiring about the 19-year-old's contract situation, but there have been no formal offers yet.

Some of Los Blancos' other defensive targets include Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Palmeiras wonderkid Vitor Reis.
