With Manchester United said to be keen to sign a Real Madrid star for €130 million (R2.5 billion), the Spanish giants have now reportedly responded to the situation.
It was reported earlier this month that United midfielder Casemiro had advised the club to sign his former teammate at the Santiago Bernabeu, Eduardo Camavinga, at the end of the season.

The two players enjoyed a hugely successful campaign together as they helped Los Blancos to the 2021/22 LaLiga title as well as the UEFA Champions League trophy that same season.
Despite spending just one season together, it appears Casemiro was seriously impressed by the young Frenchman as he is believed to want a reunion with the 20-year-old in the heart of midfield at Old Trafford – a position the English club is eager to further reinforce, according to reports.
With Real having shown a willingness to sell players if a bid meets their valuation following their £60 million (R1.3 billion) sale of Casemiro last season, the Red Devils would reportedly be willing to break their club transfer record to sign the France international too, with the Premier League club said to be ready to pay as much as €130 million to secure his signature.
However, it now seems United's interest in the midfielder has prompted a reaction from the Spanish giants.
According to The Athletic, Carlo Ancelotti's side have now made it clear they have no intention of selling Camavinga and have instead opened talks with the player regarding a new deal.
With the Les Bleus star having signed a six-year contract upon his arrival in Madrid in August 2021, it is believed his new contract will include a big salary increase and a mammoth £1 billion (R22.6 billion) release clause in an attempt to dissuade United, and other potential suitors, from making a move to sign him.

Camavinga has made 42 appearances for Real so far this season, the joint-most for the club alongside Federico Valverde, per Transfermarkt.
