Manchester United star Casemiro has reportedly advised the club to break the bank to sign one of his former Real Madrid teammates said to be worth €130 million (R2.5 billion).
The Premier League giants have seen many of their new signings under manager Erik ten Hag settle in comfortably at Old Trafford, despite the club recently missing out on some of their first-choice transfers targets, including Frenkie de Jong of FC Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam's Jurrien Timber.

Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have been revelations for the side since joining at the beginning of the season, with the former having already become a cult hero thanks to his performances in important games, while the latter went on to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina while being a regular in United's starting XI at the expense of captain Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils will be hoping to sign more players with a similar impact in the next transfer window as they look to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.
According to Fichajes, the newly-crowned Carabao Cup champions are targeting Real star Eduardo Camavinga after the young player was recommended by his ex-teammate Casemiro.
The Brazilian spent one season playing alongside the France international at the Santiago Bernabeu after the 20-year-old joined Los Blancos from Rennes in August 2021, and the pair went on to build a solid partnership in the middle of the park, with both influential figures in the Spaniards' record-extending 14 UEFA Champions League triumph in the 2021/22 campaign.
Camavinga has played in every LaLiga match for Los Blancos so far this season, and has also registered the joint-most appearances across all competitions for the side alongside Federico Valverde, underlining his importance in Madrid, with report adding that Carlo Ancelotti and company do not want to part ways with the player.

It is said the Red Devils are willing to bid a mammoth €130 million to secure Camavinga's services, a deal that would smash their current transfer record, which is the €105 million (R2 billion) they spent to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.
