Sunday, 30 June, marked the official end of the 2023/24 season, with many players across the globe becoming free agents.

Notably, Luka Modric, and Lucas Vazquez are no longer Real players as of today, 1 July, with their contracts having expired.
Toni Kroos has already announced that he will retire after the ongoing 2024 UEFA European Championship with his country Germany, while last season's Los Blancos captain Nacho has already signed for Al-Qadsiah, a newly promoted team in the Saudi Pro League.
Reports in Spain suggest that Modric and Vasquez could yet be offered contract extension, but nothing has been agreed as yet.
However, another exit could be looming, with The Athletic reporting that midfielder Dani Ceballos has asked to leave the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of next season.
The 27-year-old struggled for game time last term, playing a total of just 864 minutes in all competition, according to Transfermarkt.
As such, it is reported that the Real board are discussing the matter internally in the hope of finding a solution in the current transfer window.
Furthermore, the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League winners are said to be aware that a number of clubs have shown interest in the central midfielder.
