Cristiano Ronaldo Named Serie A Player Of the Year

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the Serie A Footballer of the Year for the second successive season.

The Old Lady won a ninth straight league title last season, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner contributing with 31 goals in 33 league appearances.

Ronaldo and two of his Juventus teammates, Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala were also named in the Serie A Team of The Year.

"I want to thank my teammates, because without them it wouldn't have been possible to receive this prize.

"Thanks to the players who voted for me, I feel very lucky. I think the trust, the endurance and passion are the secret to continuing to enjoy football.

"I feel motivated and these elements must coexist, otherwise it's not possible to play at this level when you are 35, 36, 37 or 40."
