While it seemed that Ronaldo had worked his way back into Erik ten Hag's side, reports continued to suggest that the striker will seek a new club in the UEFA Champions League in the January transfer window.

According to Italian outlet La Repubblica, Roma are weighing a possible move for the 37-year-old at the turn of the year.

While the Serie A side have Tammy Abraham in the striker role, the England international has endured a frustrating time in front of goal as the forward recently broke a three month goal drought in the italian top flight.
