Dybala 'closing in' on shock move

Argentina star Paulo Dybala could soon see his time in Serie A come to end as the player is now reportedly closing in on a shock move.

The 30-year-old has plied his trade in Italy since 2012, having represented Palermo, Juventus and AS Roma, for whom he is currently playing, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, this may not be the case for much longer.

It is claimed that newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah are close to landing the player on a three-year deal.

The player and the club are said to have agreed salary and contract terms, with final details now being discussed.

Dybala is believed to have a €12 million (around R238 million) release clause in his deal with Roma, but this is no longer in effect as it expired in July.

As such, talks are said to still be ongoing between the two sides with regards to a fee for the player.

Roma, however, are understood to still be waiting on an official bid from the Saudi outfit, with the SPL side understood to be at an advanced stage of talks with the Argentine, although it is claimed that Al Qadsiah's bid will play a crucial role in determining whether or not the deal does get over the line.
