Pogba 'ready to leave Juventus' after being dropped

Paul Pogba is now reportedly ready to leave Juventus after being dropped from the team's latest matchday squad.

On Thursday, the midfielder was removed from the Bianconeri's UEFA Europa League squad hours ahead of their 1-0 win over Freiburg.

It was later confirmed that the 29-year-old had been dropped as a form of punishment after arriving late to a team dinner the night before, upsetting head coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The former Manchester United star had only just returned to action after sustaining a knee injury in pre-season, having featured in only two matches all season.

Spanish publication Fichajes now reports that Pogba is ready to leave Juventus at the end of this season, and could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain, with the French club said to be showing an interest in signing the player.

It is further claimed that PSG manager Christophe Galtier has given the transfer the green light as he looks to reinforce his midfield following their exit from the UEFA Champions League this week.

Prior to Pogba's punishment, it was said that some of his off-field actions had upset the Juventus hierarchy this season.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner reportedly went on a ski trip in December despite having a knee injury, to his employers' annoyance, while he also delayed surgery in the hopes of making France's team for the 2022 edition of the showpiece.

The club had wanted him to go under the knife much sooner, with his time on the sidelines thus being extended, ultimately leading to the player making his second debut for the club only in February.

Allegri has since confirmed that Pogba will be back in the squad for Juve's match against Sampdoria on Sunday.
