BREAKING: UCL round of 16 draw announced, big clashes lined up!

The UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw has now been completed, with some huge match-ups arising!

While some big teams have, perhaps surprisingly, already been knocked out of the competition, others have risen to the occasion and now face even bigger challenges as they bid to envelop themselves in continental greatness.

The teams that have qualified for this stage of the competition include all of the top four sides of UEFA's coefficients rankings, namely: Manchester City (who are ranked first), Bayern Munich (second), Real Madrid (third), and Paris Saint-Germain (fourth). 

These European mammoths are joined by group winners Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Real Sociedad in the next round. 

Group stage runners-up who have also qualified for the round of 16 include: FC Copenhagen, Inter Milan, Lazio, RB Leipzig, Napoli, Porto, and PSV Eindhoven.

With the draw now completed, holders City have been drawn against FC Copenhagen, while perennial competition favourites Los Blancos have been matched up with RB Leipzig.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are set to do battle against FC Porto, the Blaugrana will have to beat Napoli if they are to make it to the quarter-finals, and Harry Kane's Bavarians will go up against Lazio

Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid

The round of 16 will be played over a period of four weeks, with the first legs being played from 13 to 21 February, and the second legs commencing from 5 to 13 March.

Defending champions City, Spanish giants Real and Bundesliga powerhouses Bayern remain among the favourites to win the 2023/24 UCL campaign, with all three of them having dominated during the group stage, going undefeated after six games against some of the toughest competition in Europe.
