Inter Milan gained passage to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League with a 4-0 win over Viktoria Plzen and ended FC Barcelona's chances of progressing from Group C.
The Nerazzurri rolled out the tried and tested in Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella and captain Milan Skriniar amongst others, with Romelu Lukaku back from injury and on the bench.
Inter started very strongly with a lot of possession as well as momentum and broke the deadlock ten minutes before halftime when Henrikh Mkhitaryan headed in Federico Dimarco's cross.
Simone Inzaghi's charges upped the intensity shortly towards the interval as the veteran Dzeko made it two with a fine finish from delightful one-touch play.
Inter followed up their fast start from the first half and increased their advantage after the break when Dzeko tucked in a cutback from Martinez.
As Lukaku came off the bench before the remaining minutes, the Belgian forward announced his return to the field in style when he found the fourth and all but confirmed Inter's place in the last 16.
FC Porto's hopes of a last 16 berth received a huge boost after they hammered Club Brugge 4-0 in a Group B encounter.
With qualification already confirmed, Brugge didn't rest star man Ferran Jutgla but had him up top whilst Porto featured talisman Mehdi Taremi and Evanilson in offense.
It was the self-same Taremi that got the Portuguese heavyweights off to the perfect start, but Brugge could've levelled through Noa Lang's spot-kick after halftime though he missed.
Porto however added to their tally when Brazilian-born Evanilson finished off a cross in the area before Stephen Eustaquio made it three later on with a close-range finish on the rebound.
Iranian international Taremi had the final say inside the final stage as he secured a brace after he capitalized on a cutback from Otavio.
The Dragons thus exerted revenge on the Boerons, who also thumped them 4-0 when the two meet earlier on in the group.
