Vidal: We'll give our utmost

The Italian club hold a 2-1 first leg advantage over last season’s champions, yet know that a star-studded Los Blancos team will come out firing at the Santiago Bernabeu this evening.

“When you play against Madrid, you play against the best players in the world, and we know that,” Vidal told Uefa.com. “We'll try to give our utmost. But we also have first-class players, and we hope we can show that over the two legs and reach the final.”

The Chilean has been a key member of the Old Lady’s squad that has now won four Serie A titles in a row, and hopes to realise his dream by lifting the European Cup this season as well.

“It is a dream, because I have always dreamt of being in a Champions League semi-final,” he said. “I watched it at home as a boy, and now I am really here, that is the thing I have been enjoying the most. And we will try to become champions. I know it's very difficult, but I've made it here, and that is difficult too. So I hope to not stop until I lift the trophy.”

Kick-off in the Spanish capital is set for 20:45 tonight.
