AS Roma 4-0 Istanbul Basaksehir F.K

AS Roma put up a five star performance against Istanbul Basaksehir for a 4-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico in a Group J encounter.

Junior Caicara's own-goal on 42 minutes handed Roma the lead at the break, with Edin Dzeko firing a second in the 58th minute.

Nicolo Zaniolo made it three with 19 minutes go leaving Justin Kluivert to complete the rout deep in time added on, as Roma go second in the group after match day one.

Manchester United 1-0 Astana

Manchester United scraped to a narrow 1-0 over Astana in their UEFA Europa League Group L opener on Thursday.

United featured a number of non-regulars like Mason Greenwood, Sergio Romero, Fred and Phil Jones to mention but a few.

Greenwood found the all-important strike in the 73rd minute after combining with Fred in the final third.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-1 Sporting Braga

Wolverhampton Wanderers UEFA Europa League journey got off to a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Portugal's Braga in Group K.

Wolves unleashed a strong eleven, featuring Raul Jimenez, Matt Doherty, Ruben Neves and Patrick Cutrone.

Ricardo Horta though broke their hearts with the winner in the 71st minute after heading home Galeno's cross from an unmarked position in the area.
