'England have a good chance of winning World Cup'

England have a good chance of winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to Italy manager Roberto Mancini.

The Three Lions were relegated to League B in the UEFA Nations League on Friday evening after suffering a 1-0 loss to Italy at the San Siro.

The 1-0 defeat also saw Southgate's side extend their winless run to five matches while they've also failed to score from open play in that period.

"You [England] are in the World Cup and that is the most important," Mancini said, as per the Sun.

"My opinion is that England is one of the best teams in the world even if they lose the game.

"They can have a good chance in the World Cup."

Southgate has attracted quite a bit of criticism for his team selections after the defeat to Italy, with former England star Gary Lineker calling for a couple inclusions.
