Glazers to change stance on Man Utd sale after cup win?

The Glazers could reportedly change their stance on selling Manchester United after the club's Carabao Cup victory on Sunday.

In February, a number of prospective bidders made offers for a majority or minority stake in the Red Devils.

Some chose to remain unnamed, while Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Jim Ratcliffe both officially confirmed their offers publicly.

However, reports have since suggested that the bids need to be larger in order for the Glazers to consider selling up.

According to Sky Sports, executive co-chairman Avram Glazer and his brother Joel have become reluctant to sell United and their stance has been strengthened by bids they have deemed as underwhelming.

Report suggest that the American owners are looking for £6 billion (R131 billion) and no less for the club, despite United having a net debt of £656 million (R14 million) and outstanding transfer fees to pay.

The Glazers are said to feel the current offers underestimate the club's stature and potential for growth.

United supporters sang "Glazers out" consistently during the Carabao Cup final on Sunday in a bid to ensure that the owners knew their stance on the potential sale.
