Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr are set to face one of Africa's biggest clubs after the two sides were drawn in the same group for the Arab Club Championship Cup.
The tournament is an annual regional event, featuring 37 clubs from 22 different nations across North Africa and the Middle East.

CAF teams have enjoyed some success in the competition since it was inaugurated by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) in 1981, with clubs from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt having lifted the trophy, and the most recent winners being Raja Casablanca.
Having completed a mega move to Saudi Arabia in January, Ronaldo is now set to partake in the showpiece for the first time in his career, and it has officially been confirmed that Al Nassr have been drawn in the same group as 2003 winners Zamalek.
With the preliminary round of the cup still underway, three Egyptian teams were set to participate but Al Ahly pulled out of the competition due to scheduling issues, thus leaving the White Knights and Talae El-Gaish as the only representatives from the country, per KingFut.
The group stage schedule has not been announced yet, but it is understood the champions of the tournament will pocket $6 million (R109 million) in prize money.
Last month, UAFA also announced that this edition of the showpiece will be named after King Salman, ruler of Saudi Arabia.

"The championship bears a name dear to all Arab athletes, and is considered among the Arab Federation's competitions for the 2023 season," Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salami, secretary-general of UAFA, said, according to Arab News.
"The mechanism for participating in the tournament has been circulated to all member Arab federations to name their representatives."
