An Egyptian Premier League star has now revealed he is seeking legal action after an Al Ahly star threatened to "break his foot" before proceeding to slap him during a recent match.
Earlier this week, the Egyptian Football Association's disciplinary committee confirmed they had given Al Ahly's Hussein El-Shahat a two-match ban and a R11 400 fine for slapping Pyramids FC defender Mohamed Chibi after a league game between the two teams on Sunday.

El Shahat was slapped with a further fine by his club for his conduct, and the winger later apologised for his actions, which saw him miss their league finale against Al Masry on Wednesday, while he will also be absent for the Cairo outfit's upcoming Egypt Cup round of 16 clash against Dakhleya on 30 July.
The disgruntled victim in the matter, Chibi, has now broken his silence over the incident, revealing that he is looking to escalate the matter as he was not only assaulted but gravely threatened too.
The Moroccan defender told El Botola: "Before the slap, Hussein El-Shahat threatened me to break my foot and insulted my religion and my parents.
"After being informed of the punishment imposed on El Shahat, I returned from Saudi Arabia, as I had gone to perform Umrah.
"I decided to return to Egypt and pursue another legal action with the Moroccan embassy in Egypt.
"I also received a call from Pyramids officials asking me to return to Egypt, for some legal procedures."
