New development 'arises' in Mbappe & PSG saga

Having recently chosen to take Kylian Mbappe off their transfer exit list, reports suggest there is now a new development between Paris Saint-Germain and the Frenchman.

According to ESPN, Les Parisiens and the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner are set to begin discussions over a new deal after the forward was reintegrated into the first-team squad on the weekend.

PSG and the Bondy native have been embroiled in a contract stand-off all off-season after the attacker announced that he would not be committing his long-term future to the club, after which Les Parisiens decided to exclude him from their pre-season preparations while also putting him up for sale.

On the weekend, however, Les Rouge-et-Bleu released a statement confirming that the two parties had reached an agreement that would see the 24-year-old attacker return from his exile and once again be a part of Luis Enrique's project for the coming campaign.

The same report claims that following positive talks with the club's chiefs, the prolific winger has vowed that he will not leave the club as a free agent when his contract ends in June 2024, leaving the reigning Ligue 1 champions confident that Mbappe will stay on at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future.
