Khama Billiat has been handed words of wisdom by a familiar figure as his career continues in the freezer since his departure from Kaizer Chiefs after the expiry of his contract.
Since leaving Chiefs at the end of June, Billiat has been without a club for the first time since he arrived in South Africa as a teenager in July 2010.

The 33-year-old's five-year stint with AmaKhosi came to an end on the last day of June after failing to agree terms on a new deal with the Naturena based club then strangely stating that he had disappeared.
Days and weeks have now turned to months of Billiat moving on without a club with his value also dropping.
"My biggest concern about Khama is how long he hasn't played football right now," says Wilfred 'Silver Fox' Mugeyi.
Just like Billiat, Mugeyi has his roots in Zimbabwe and worked with Billiat upon his arrival in South Africa at Ajax Cape Town where the Bush Bucks legend worked as assistant to Foppe de Haan, Maarten Stekelnburg, and Jan Pruijn for three years.
"When last did he play?" asks Mugeyi with disappointment in his speech.
Billiat has only played a single minute of football in this calendar year (2023) and only has another four appearances (none of them full 90 minutes shifts) over the last 12 months.
"Another issue is that he is not getting young.
"If we get to December and he is still without a team then it will be a bigger problem because who will want to sign him after so long out.
"Before we even talk about money, Khama needs to be playing football and be attached to a club.
"So, Khama needs to be careful now.
"I wish I could talk to him right now because I think he needs guys like Peter (Ndlovu), Esrom (Nyandoro), or me that he can talk to.
"Maybe the issue is that Edzai (Kasinauyo) is no longer there, so he is missing that brotherly love, but we are all just a phone call away.
"Instead of bottling it all up he needs to come out," says Mugeyi before talking of what he knows about Billiat.

"I know Khama's character very well because he came into my hands upon arriving from home (Zimbabwe).
"With regards to whatever happened at Chiefs or didn't happen there I cannot talk about that because I don't know.
"If there is something that happened there then it is known by the two parties involved.
"I can only talk about Khama the human being and player that I know.
"I know what he likes, and I also know that when he gets on the field, he will give you all he has in him.
"Khama is not a player that will ever miss training and for all the three years that I was with him at Ajax, he never missed training for even one day.
"Even when he is injured, Khama would come to training.

"I never remember any instance of having to look for him because he wasn't at training.
"I was always with him which is why I'm now worried about his situation.
"What I can only say is that there is something that is not right which has led to Khama being without a club now.
"Something is not adding up about Khama.
"Khama will never cause problems because he is a soft soul who respects his job and will always give you his all," says Mugeyi.
