With former referee Victor Hlungwani claiming that Kaizer Chiefs should have been punished with another red card, KickOff readers gave their insightful thoughts on the matter.
What's the story?
Edmilson Dove was given his marching orders after the referee felt that he had denied Moroka Swallows attacker Gabadinho Mhango a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
However, speaking on SABC Sports' Soccerzone, Hlungwani said Happy Mashiane should also have been sent off after an off-the-ball incident.
"Mashiane should have been sent off to this action or for this challenge because it's violent conduct and unfortunately Olandi Kwinda gave him a yellow card," the former official said.
Here's how the KO readers felt about the issue:
"What I've noticed is that some refs are afraid to issue more than one red card to one team. If it was Ace Ncobo, he wouldn't have hesitated. I remember one game between Chiefs and Cosmos, he dished out 3 red cards," says Bongani Mgubela.
"Yes he was reckless in two of the tackles.. But anyway I hope he uses this chance on tonight's game," says Cornell Phillips.
"Yes, that is Mashiane for you.... He lacks emotional intelligence. Otherwise, he is a good player," says Sello Moletsane.
"Yes true he should have received a red card," says Themba Alcophyllex.
"That was a clear red card. I just wonder what is it that Chiefs supporters see in this 27 year old young star," says Lucho Franco.
"An in-form Mashiane is one of the best in the country; he has shown that before. The guy was deprived of game time in recent times. Let's withhold judgement until after he's given enough time to recover, then we judge," replied Mohau Moifatswane.
"He couldn't get famous as a ref, he now wants to be famous as a retired Monday Referee," says Samson Soothsayer Khehla.
"Victor Hlungwani was never a good referee let alone judging other referees," says Mdue Mbulelo Makhakhi.
"This one is not 'make sure'," says Valley Barnes.
"He did it against Al Ahly. He did it again this past weekend. Him and Zungu same WhatsApp group!" says Bonginkosi Shongwe.
"Leave Chiefs alone!" says Erin Matt.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates legend Gavin Lane compared Evidence Makgopa to Bafana Bafana legend Phil "Chippa" Masinga, saying that the pair share similar traits.
Check out whether or not the KO readers agreed with Lane:
"Those who only see video clips of Masinga and never saw him play they will disagree. That guy was the most criticized player in South Africa that time things started to change when he's scored that banger against Congo that took us to France 1998 stability is right Masinga didn't score lot of goals but he was scoring the important ones very similar to Makgopa," says Thembelani Sunshine Goodwill.
"No, never! Chippa protected the ball well and very good in the air. He hardly missed target with his headers," says Mpho Meso.
"The guy is still young, if he can focus on improving his finishing he will be the best striker. That's why coaches from outside South Africa love him. it's only south Africans who hate him. He must know that we are living in a country that is full of jealousy — the same people who decided to go against their national team just because players of a certain team was not chosen to play for the squad," says Evra Motebejane.
"Even Doc Khumalo said the same.. Legends have spoken,' says Mabusela David
"Chippa was a far better player. Can't compare," says Lester Constance.
"Problem is coaching. During the time of Chippa strikers focused on the kitchen. Spent most of the time around that area the matters... Pirates strikers now of late they cover the whole ground," says Sekanse Ntsala.
"Built like him true. And more gifted than Chippa because he can hit it powerful with his feet far better than Phil...He only lacks accuracy some of the times," says Innocent Sibanda.
"He's a good player but he must work on his finishing because a good striker is judged by his goals,' says Bheki Sikhosana.
"No, Chippa was a beast in the box. Defenders worked non-stop. He had strong feet and was good in the air," says Blaqzion Ka Mncube.
"Built like Chippa but can't play like Chippa. Do you think Makhuba Makhuba can score a screamer like the one that took us to France? I don't think so," says Lepile Mogale.
