Bernard Parker has not only secured his own legacy, but has also crafted one that has already begun to inspire the next batch of talented South Africans.
SuperSport United starlet Shandre Campbell recently opened up on one of the players who motivates him to be the best footballer he could possibly, revealing that everything about Die Hond served as inspiration for him.

Speaking to GOAL, the 18-year-old noted how Parker's entire lifestyle has had a large effect on him and his aspirations not only on the pitch, but in life as a whole.
"I just feel like Bernard Parker, [who] used to be close to my father, so I always used to go to his house, see all his trophies, I used to be motivated," he said.
"So that's why every match I try my hardest to be man of the match, or get something out of it. The goal is just because I know one day I can speak about it and show that hard work, you don't necessarily only need talent, hard work is the thing that you need most, because without the hard work, talent is nothing," he explained.
"You didn't need to say anything because once you walk in this place, it's already the motivation – the place he stays at, the cars he has, the trophies he has, you don't really; he doesn't really need to say anything. The clubs he played for, the jerseys he has, and you know, you just need to look at some people and they give you motivation. They don't say anything."
Parker shared a clip of the interview on his Instagram page and accompanied the post with an endearing caption, expressing the pride he has for the up-and-coming forward.
"I'm super proud of you and extremely happy of how far you've come. Time flies! Feels like yesterday when we started this journey," the TS Galaxy star wrote. "Kudos to your parents for trusting the process and the great love and support they been giving (credit to your development coaches as well)."
