A new foreign club has responded to speculation linking them with Al Ahly and Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau, whose future in Cairo remains up in the air.
Libyan club Asswehly SC have revealed that they do not plan on signing the South African attacker, despite reports suggesting they hold an interest in recruiting the forward.

This comes after news suggesting that the former Mamelodi Sundowns star has fallen out with manager Marcel Koller, with the player's attitude in recent training sessions having been described as "reckless".
This is reportedly why the Swiss tactician has left him off the pitch in the side's recent matches – the forward was an unused substitute in the Red Devils' past three Egyptian Premier League encounters.
However, Tau's alleged behaviour is said to come as a result of Koller telling the Egyptian giants' hierarchy that the player should be moved on from the club so that another foreign star could be brought in as a replacement.
As such, the forward had been linked with a move to a number of teams, including Asswehly, but the Libyan team's transfer director Walid Tarhouni has since come out and quashed those rumours.
"Percy Tau is not in our plans by any means, neither is Zamalek's Seifeddine Jaziri, who was on our shortlist last winter, but not anymore," he said on Egyptian TV programme 90+, per KingFut.
"We are looking to sign one of the stars of the Egyptian Premier League this summer, without mentioning names."

The side's chief of recruitment did, however, reveal that they are in negotiations to sign two other Al Ahly stars.
"The negotiations with Amr El Solia are heading in a very positive direction. We are optimistic about signing him," Tarhouni added.
"We also want to sign [Ahly midfielder currently on loan at Cleopatra FC] Ahmed Kendouci, but we are still early in the negotiation process with his agent, but within days an official offer will be sent to Al Ahly to sign him whether on loan or permanently."
