With uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool, the club has now reportedly made a decision on the Egyptian's contract.
The attacker's current deal with the Merseysiders is set to expire at the end of this campaign, and if it is not renewed by January next year, the player will be free to start speaking to other foreign clubs and reach a pre-contractual agreement to join them next season.

Speaking after the Reds' 3-0 demolition of Manchester United at Old Trafford last Sunday, in which the 32-year-old picked up a goal and two assists, he said that no one at the club had thus far spoken to him about a renewal.
It has, however, been suggested that the Egypt international wants to stay at Anfield beyond the end of the season, with Liverpool seemingly wanting the same thing.
According to Football Insider, the Premier League giants want to sort out Salah's new deal before the new year begins.
As such, it is claimed contract talks will begin soon, with the Reds said to be going into negotiations with the expectation of getting the issue resolved.
The Reds are also thought to be desperate to avoid a situation in which the forward would be allowed to speak to other foreign clubs from January.
This comes after the African superstar made an impressive start to the new Premier League season, bagging three goals and three assists in three games after the campaign kicked off.
Liverpool now find themselves at the top of the table, level on points with Manchester City, after winning their first three EPL encounters, and will be looking to keep that momentum going after the international break.
While the Reds completed the signings of goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has been sent back to Valencia on loan, and winger Federico Chiesa, it is believed they have prioritised retaining the services of their key players this year.

This includes Trent Alexander-Arnold and club captain Virgil van Dijk, whose deals at Anfield are also set to expire at the end of the current season.
