One of Africa's biggest national teams has officially sacked its manager after just three months in charge.
The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has announced its decision to part ways with 74-year-old coach Faouzi Benzarti, following his appointment in July this year.

The federation is very familiar with the former Wydad Athletic Club boss, given his previous three stints before being hired by the national side once again earlier this year.
Following his appointment, the Eagles of Carthage competed in four 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, winning two, drawing one and losing the other.
"The Settlement Committee responsible for managing the affairs of the Tunisian Football University announced that a mutual agreement has been reached with Coach Faouzi Benzarti to terminate the contractual relationship between the two parties," the FTF revealed in an official statement.
"The Tunisian Football University expresses its gratitude to Mr. Faouzi Benzarti for his services and efforts during his tenure as head of the national team and wishes him success and prosperity in the rest of his coaching career."
The north African giants are currently first in Group A with seven points, one ahead of second-placed Comoros, the side that, during the October international break, handed Tunisia their first loss of the qualifiers in what was the Eagles of Carthage's first qualifying defeat on home soil since 2010.
The one-time AFCON winners have managed to reach the continental showpiece on the past 17 occasions, and will be looking to stretch that run to 18 by booking their place at the tournament set to be hosted by Morocco next year.

First, however, they will have to ensure they get good results when they take on Madagascar and Gambia in more Group A action during the November international break.
