Al Ahly coach: It's not a normal game...

Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller has opened up on their goalless draw against Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League.

The Red Devils find themselves with four points in Group C, equal on points with the Buccaneers.

The Egyptian giants were cautious in the first stanza but were lively in the second stanza, as they almost stole all maximum points.

It appeared as if The Red Devils were playing for a point away but Koller says they came to the game with the attitude to win.

"As you see in this game both teams made a lot of chances. We wanted to win the game but we take a point with us," Koller said on SABC Sport.

"We tried to score goals," the Swiss coach responded when asked if they played for a draw.

Koller also commented on the heat factor, as they are in a different weather season in Cairo.

"In Cairo it's winter, it's cold there. It's not a normal game we played," Koller added.

The Red Devils will host Pirates in the last group game on 17 January next year.

Before then, Al Ahly will host CR Belouizdad three days before Christmas and will travel to Algeria three days into the New Year in back-to-back matches.

Pirates, on the other hand, will travel to Stade d'Abidjan on 14 December and host the Ivorian outfit on 3 January in their upcoming two CAF Champions League matches
