South African sensation Shandre Campbell will now have to wait a bit longer to fulfill his UEFA Champions League dream after Club Brugge announced their squad ahead of a clash against Atalanta on Wednesday evening.
Campbell was recently promoted to the Club Brugge first team from their reserve side, Club NXT.
Impressively, the former SuperSport United striker was named in Brugge's squad for their recent league game against Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

The Belgian giants claimed a 1-0 victory over their opponents, but Campbell remained an unused substitute during the match.
Brugge will host Italian side Atalanta on Wednesday in the first-leg round of 16 play-off in the Champions League.
Unfortunately, Brugge announced a 23-man squad for the European clash, which does not include Campbell.
At just 19 years old, the forward will now have to wait a bit longer for his maiden inclusion in a Champions League squad.
In a video posted by Brugge on X, Campbell can be seen taking part in their preparations for the fixture against Atalanta, who won the UEFA Europa League last season thanks to a hat-trick by reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year, Ademola Lookman.
The last South African player to represent Brugge in Europe's most elite club competition was Percy Tau, who made his debut in the tournament against Real Madrid in October 2019, according to Transfermarkt.
Campbell's promotion to the Brugge first team comes after the youngster registered six goals and one assist in 13 appearances for Club NXT this term.
