Jose Peseiro, who was linked with Kaizer Chiefs, has explained why he took the head coach role at Egyptian giants Zamalek.
The Portuguese coach was officially appointed head coach at the reigning CAF Confederation Cup champions on Friday evening.

Peseiro was also linked with the Chiefs job before the start of the of the 2024/25 season, before the club opted for Nasreddine Nabi.
The 64-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Nigeria after their second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
"Zamalek is a very big club in Egypt and Africa, and I have come here to win many championships and titles with the team," Peseiro said, as per Pan Africa Football.
"This is the first time that Zamalek has negotiated with me, and I came because I believe that we can achieve the best for the team,.
"I know Zamalek's history in Egypt and Africa and the number of titles it has won.
"I hope to help the club win trophies, and I also hope that the team will help me in achieving titles."
