With Manchester United number one Andre Onana currently under intense scrutiny, a South Africa-eligible goalkeeper has now received a boost in his quest to take over between the sticks.
United claimed a 3-2 win over Ipswich Town earlier this week; however, the result was arguably overshadowed by Onana's performance.

Adding to his rapidly growing list of mistakes, the Cameroon international made another high-profile error during the Ipswich game, as he was involved in a costly mix-up with his teammate Patrick Dorgu, leading to the shot-stopper conceding a goal.
Manager Ruben Amorim is now unable to call upon second and third-choice goalkeepers, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton, as both are injured ahead of this weekend's FA Cup game against Fulham.
As such, the South Africa-eligible star has once again been included in the squad that will face Fulham on Sunday, after he was notably named on the bench during the last game against Ipswich.
According to the Mirror, Harrison is one of five new academy players who are now part of Amorim's first team going forward, alongside Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, Jack Moorhouse, and Tyler Fredricson.
Transfermarkt indicates that Harrison has South African citizenship, although he has represented England at youth national team levels.
In the January transfer window, the 19-year-old was recalled from a loan spell at Chester, a club playing in the lower tiers of English football.
Since then, Harrison has been named on the bench in games against Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and Fulham.
It is still unclear whether Amorim will persist with Onana amid the widespread criticism facing the Cameroonian star.
