The arrival of Betway to take over the sponsorship of the Premiership will coincide with another new kid on the block in the country's top tier.
Betway – a company with interests in online gambling – has agreed to a three-year deal, which will have them pump R900 million over the duration of their agreement.

With the issue of the league's sponsors put to bed in Parktown, up north on the N1 there is another 'new member' in Magesi FC.
The Limpopo club won promotion after only two years in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
They have arrived under the tutelage of Clinton Larsen who has elevated the club's value to multi-million numbers based on the worth of a Betway Premiership franchise.

Larsen returns to the topflight after four years in the lower divisions having had his last dance at this level at Polokwane City in 2020.
Prior to that, he had established himself in the elite league for a decade working at Bloemfontein Celtic, Maritzburg United, Golden Arrows and Chippa United.
Since his last DStv Premiership gig at Polokwane, Larsen then went for almost a year without a job, before settling for the third-tier league at Summerfield Dynamos, where he spent 18 months.
The former Manning Rangers and Orlando Pirates midfielder then took over at Motsepe Foundation Championship club Magesi in January 2023.
Larsen only needed a single full season in charge to win promotion, which will come with the benefit of an increase of the grant from the PSL, plus broader television coverage.
Magesi have already brought in Papi Zothwane as assistant, while the list of new signings includes Lesego Sebetlela, Gift Motupa, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Limbikani Mzava, Delano Abrahams and Tshepo Kakora.
They will make announcements relating to their new acquisitions and plans for the season on Friday at the Ranch Resort, near Polokwane.
