Torrealba was declared free agent after the DRC found that the players signature was forged to extend his contract with the team.
Club CEO Afzal Khan has confirmed to Kick Off that his team is presently talking to its lawyers with a view to making an appeal against the DRC ruling on Torrealba's case.
“We are presently talking to our attorney's to look at the matter and we are likely to make an appeal soon.
“However, Sundowns will be releasing an official press statement soon on the next steps to be taken by the team in the Torrealba case.”
PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu earlier confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns could make an appeal if they were not satisfied about the DRC ruling.
If the Brazilians appeal, it will put the brakes on any plans Torrealba may have regarding a move to Kaizer Chiefs as has been speculated.
