AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz has hit out at the dubious officiating during the KwaZulu-Natal derby against Royal AM on Saturday.
Usuthu played a 1-1 draw against rivals Roya AM at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday. However, the game was overshadowed by some dubious officiating as Usuthu's Pule Ekstein was adjudged to be offside after scoring.
Replay footage reveals that not only was the midfielder onside, but Royal AM's Samuel Manganyi could have possibly handled the ball in the box.

Speaking to journalists after the game, Folz was far from impressed.
"We should win 2-1. If anyone here can explain to me what happened in that sequence? Because even if it's a offside by 10 kilometers, it's a handball before that. A clear one in the box," Folz said.
"My problem here is that the fourth official comes to us. We ask what's is happening. Is it a offside and he lies to us and says 'No, don't worry, I'm communicating [with the rest of the officials], If it's not an offside, it's a penalty for sure and everyone saw it,' he said that to four different people in my staff."
"Yet, nothing happens and they [Royal AM] get an offside [call]. So look, I need to re-watch that, but I'm hundred percent sure it was a handball. I've seen it on the cross. I'm hundred percent sure.

The first round against the two teams, played at the Chatsworth Stadium in January was surrounded by similar controversy.
"It's not like it's the first time. When we played them [Royal AM] over there in their stadium. Do you remember what happened? I had to step on the field and tell them if you don't disallow that I'm taking the players and we're going home. Do you understand that? I've never seen that in my life," added Folz.

"We should have won. We should have two points more in the log and many games have happened like that. Against Pirates we had two penalties denied in one half. At some point it needs to stop."
Meanwhile, AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu has reportedly written to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to express the club's dissatisfaction with the officiating on the day.
