The Brazilians are unbeaten in the competition this year.

Then for Marumo, they have also secured their place in the quarterfinals of the Confederation Cup and will also finish top of their group if they win at home against Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the last group match.

Despite having entered the competition as a lowly seeded club and struggling on the domestic front with their top league status at risk, Marumo have been able to box above their weight on the continent.

As it stands, the two clubs will earn a combined total of USD 1 million (approx. R18,5 million) for what they have achieved so far.

Of that total, Sundowns will have USD650 000 (approx. R12,05 million) while Marumo will account for USD350 000 (approx. R6,49 million).

SAFA will be paid 5% of the two club's earnings which at this stage stands at USD50 000 (approx. R927 000).

For Sundowns, further progress, which is what they desire this term, will earn them USD875 000 (approx. R16,2 million) for reaching the semi-finals, USD1,25 million (approx. R23,18 million) as runners-up with the ultimate prize of USD2,5 million (approx. R46,36 million) as winners.

Being champions provides them with the ticket to the money-spinning FIFA Club World Cup plus the CAF Super Cup match against Confederation Cup winners which comes with USD100 000 (approx. R1,85 million) prizemoney.

Marumo stand the chance of extending their earnings to USD450 000 (approx. R8,3 million) for reaching the semi-finals, USD625 000 (approx. R11,59 million) as runners-up, and USD1,25 million (approx. R23,18 million) as winners which will then give them a shot at the CAF Super Cup.
