Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has explained the absence of defender Given Msimango during the side's Betway Premiership draw against Chippa United over the weekend.
The Soweto giants' ambitions of finishing inside the Top Eight bracket suffered another dent as they were made to settle for a point against Chippa at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

Notably, they were without key man Msimango, who was replaced by Zitha Kwinika. The latter was making just his second appearance of the season amid reports of a possible exit.
Meanwhile, Msimango has played in all five of the side's last five league matches, in the absence of injured Rushwin Dortlely.
Speaking on SuperSport TV after the match, Nabi revealed that the 27-year-old has been carrying an injury in recent matches.
"So, with Given, this week, we are trying to manage him to get more rest. He could have played in this game, but he is not okay.
"For that reason, we had to make the change in his position," said Nabi.

Amakhosi also seemingly lost speedy fullback Dillan Solomons, who had to be replaced in the first half by Njabulo Blom due to injury.
"I'd like to congratulate and thank the players like Zitha, (Edmilson) Dove and Blom in defence after we lost many defenders to injuries.
"I think in the next week, we will have some players back. We've been unlucky with the injuries, but I think we have a good group," he added.
The 59-year-old gaffer will be hoping for a replenished side when his troops take on Marumo Gallants at FNB Stadium this weekend.
