Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Neil Tovey has given his verdict on the club's performance in their impressive win over an ailing AmaZulu FC side.
Amakhosi were all over AmaZulu like chickenpox in the first half, before managing the second half well to ensure no comeback for the home side.
The Betway Premiership match Moses Mabhida Stadium ended 3-1, with Ranga Chivaviro, Inacio Miguel and the evergreen Gaston Sirino finding the back of the net for Nasreddine Nabi's men.

AmaZulu's only goal came through Etiosa Ighodaro.
The legendary 'Mokoko', who also played for and coached Usuthu, was left impressed with the display.
"It was good. I was impressed with the first half. They seemed sharp, they got the ball rolling, they released the ball early, they didn't take extra touches," Tovey shares, reviewing the game with KickOff.
"It was a good display by Chiefs, but AmaZulu were poor in the first half, to be honest. They didn't get close to Kaizer Chiefs in terms of closing players down.
"But then again, that's because Kaizer Chiefs moved the ball far too early and didn't take too many touches on the ball.
"So, AmaZulu couldn't get close enough to the marking. In the second half, I don't think the Chiefs performance dropped, but it is AmaZulu's performance that increased," he adds.
Tovey also explained how Amakhosi were able to run out winners in the end as AmaZulu launched an onslaught in order to rescue a result.
"AmaZulu were better than they were in the first half. So, Chiefs managed the game well. They never went through any trouble. You gave your all in the first half, and the opposition reacted in the second half - you're not gonna dominate the game entirely.
"Yes, it could have been better in certain areas, but it's good. It's giving the fans hope, which is very, very good.
"It has given the club's fans new hope. You need a good Kaizer Chiefs in our football. Maybe the yellow cards to Bradley Cross and Miguel played in their minds, taking into consideration the weekend game against [Mamelodi] Sundowns. You don't want to make the same mistake you made in the first half and get cards, you know.

"Chiefs are already better this season, and we can see that. But the fans must not get too far ahead of themselves. This season, Chiefs have key players in key positions, which are part of the process of getting their forward play more functional.
"So, let's wait and see. One swallow doesn't make a summer. They must keep the consistency, and this weekend is key. They can judge how good they can be this weekend."
