KickOff has been informed that Ghana forward Kwame Peprah was set to join Maritzburg United prior to moving to Orlando Pirates at the beginning of last season.
As first reported by KickOff, Peprah has since joined Maritzburg United from Pirates on loan for the rest of the season after battling to make an impact this season with the Buccaneers.

The bustling forward is now waiting for the completion of his paperwork before making his debut for Maritzburg which could happen away at Golden Arrows on Saturday.
At Pirates, Peprah only had six appearances this term with no goal to his name after scoring nine in 38 games in a promising first season.
This website can now reveal that the 22-year-old was meant to have joined The Team of Choice in July 2021 after moving from King Faisal.
Maritzburg were first in the queue with their offer of USD 100 000 (approx. R1,7 million) in a deal influenced by Ernst Middendorp who was still with the club at the time.
Middendorp previously coached Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko and so has wide contacts in the West African country.
However, Pirates then muscled their way into the scene by tabling USD 150 000 (R2,5 million).
Maritzburg couldn't match the Pirates offer and were then elbowed out with King Faisal settling for the highest offer as they were in desperate need of funds.
This was against the background of Peprah's handlers having advocated for the Maritzburg move where they felt he would settle in better considering he was only 20 at the time instead of the pressure cooker environment at Pirates.
Following his troubles this season and the subsequent appointment of his former coach at Pirates – Fadlu Davids – the move to Maritzburg was revived as the option of the Major League Soccer couldn't proceed due to his game time issues.
There had been a proposal that he would move to the MLS in this window if he improved on his numbers from last season, but it all went south.
In moving to Maritzburg it now allows for him to continue in the same league without having to make much of adjustments and based on what he delivers could still get a move abroad.
In this transfer window, there was also enquiries from Switzerland, Egypt, and Algeria.
