Abia Nale in talks with Bizana Pondo Chiefs

Nale has been out of action for almost two years but indications are that he could return to football this season.

This after meeting with Chiefs boss Nkosinathi Mqokiyane during the ABC Motsepe League playoffs in Vaal a few weeks ago.

Mqokiyane has confirmed meeting with Nale and says it was not about football even though this publication has learnt that the 34-year-old held talks with the club with the intention to return to the pitch.

"He is a very good boy. I know him personally outside the club," Mqokiyane tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"He is very supportive of my club and when we were in Vaal he was there to make sure that we are comfortable and we have a place we call home.

"Pretty much [he was] running around and making sure we have a good chef to prepare good meals for us for the duration of our stay. He is pretty much part of the family.

"If Abia wants to play he is going to tell me because this is more like a home to him. If he is done with football and wants to propose anything, I will listen to him because I know him and I know his family.

"For now nothing is concrete but you know in football you cannot say never."
