'It doesn't look good for Foster'

Lyle Foster lasted just three minutes during Burnley’s 0–0 draw on Tuesday night, and Burnley manager Scott Parker has admitted that the situation “doesn’t look good” for the South African striker.

Burnley were held to a goalless draw by Derby County, missing the chance to maintain their position at the top of the EFL Championship ahead of Leeds United.

Foster began the match on the bench and was introduced in the 68th minute, replacing Josh Laurent.

Unfortunately for the Bafana Bafana star, he was forced off shortly after coming on due to a shoulder injury—prompting concern from head coach Parker.

“Yeah, it doesn’t look good, to be honest with you,” Parker told Burnley Express.

“We’ll find out a little bit more tomorrow. We’re going to scan him first thing in the morning and should have a clearer idea then, but at the moment, it doesn’t look great.”

Foster appeared visibly frustrated as he left the pitch and had to be consoled by Parker before heading down the tunnel.

“I think it probably sums up the second half. It was just stop-start, wasn’t it?

“He’s come on for three minutes. You bring Lyle on to give us an added attacking threat, and then he does his shoulder.

“I’m really disappointed for Lyle. I’m hoping it’s not too serious, but it’s not looking that way.”
