In this edition of My First, KickOff catches up with former SuperSport United star Raymond Seopa.
My First School:
"Motsweding Primary School in Atteridgeville. My first day was hard for me because I was new and trying to adjust to whatever was going on that day. Bullies were bullying newcomers like me."
My First Kiss:
"I got my first kiss at the age of 11, it was good, but I was also scared at the same time. At first, I was rushing it, but she taught me to be calm and do it with passion. We were both 11 years old."
My First Child:
"He is 15 now, he was born in 2009, just before the 2010 FIFA World Cup."
My First Favourite Club:
"Kaizer Chiefs all the way."
My First Soccer Boots:
"It was a brand called Patrick. My mom bought them for me. I think she bought two pairs of boots, and after that, she never had to buy a boot again."
My First Red Card:
"We were playing Manning Rangers in Durban. The first booking was for a yellow card. Someone from the opposition kicked the ball and it hit my hand and the referee said it was a yellow card offence.
"The second yellow card, I was kicked from the back, and the person who kicked fell and just like that, I was given my yellow card. I got dismissed. Bruce Grobbelaar was the coach, luckily, we won. Otherwise, he was going to fine me."
My First Own Goal:
"I have never scored one."
My First Goal:
"We were playing Coca-Cola Cup in Mthatha against Bush Bucks, and my first game was against Orlando Pirates. I desperately wanted my first goal to be against Pirates. I came on as a sub in 1998".
My First Individual Award:
"I have three Man of the Match awards, but my first one was against Kaizer Chiefs at Johannesburg Stadium."
My First Trophy:
"I have never won a cup competition in professional football."
My First Car:
"I bought it for R30 000. It was a Ford Laser. That was in 1999. I bought it from a friend of mine. I liked the big sound in it."
