South Africa's locally-based national team, led by Molefi Ntseki, will face Malawi in the final round of qualifying for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), and the dates for the clash have now seemingly been revealed.
The 2024 CHAN is scheduled to take place from 2 to 30 August 2025, and will be hosted by three countries: Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

South Africa secured their place in the final qualifying round by defeating Egypt 4-2 on aggregate in the previous round.
Among the goalscorers across the two-legged tie were Jamie Webber, Neo Maema, Yandisa Mfolozi, and Siphelele Luthuli.
The locally-based Bafana Bafana will now take on Malawi in a two-legged encounter to determine who qualifies for the tournament.
According to Foot Africa, the first leg between South Africa and Malawi will be played over the weekend of 2 to 4 May, with the return leg scheduled for the following weekend, between 9 and 11 May 2025.
If South Africa advance past Malawi, they will secure a place in Group C at CHAN 2024, alongside Uganda, Niger, Guinea, and the winner of the other qualifier between Algeria and The Gambia.
