CONFIRMED: Ex-Chiefs star to leave MLS side

A former Kaizer Chiefs star is now officially set to leave his Major League Soccer club this month.

A number of former PSL stars now ply their trade in the US top flight, including Michael Boxall, formerly of SuperSport United, ex-Mamelodi Sundowns forward Cassius Mailula, and Bafana Bafana duo Njabulo Blom and Bongokuhle Hlongwane.

It has now been confirmed, however, that Teenage Hadebe, who represented Amakhosi between 2017 and 2019, will leave Houston Dynamo after two years at the club.

The Zimbabwe international will not renew his contract with the Texas outfit when it expires at the end of December after the club declined the option to extend for another year.

The 28-year-old made 53 appearances for Houston, and won the 2023 US Open Cup with them, beating Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in the final.

A long-term injury is said to have affected his final season at the club, limiting his game time to just 16 appearances across all competitions.
