It has been confirmed that a former Kaizer Chiefs target has joined another major team on the continent.
At the start of last season, there were widespread reports that Amakhosi were pushing for a move for former Al Ahly player Walter Bwalya after he was released by the club in August 2023.

Speaking to KickOff in January this year, the DR Congo international confirmed that Chiefs had been interested in his services, although nothing official materialised.
"With regards to South Africa, I did get approached by teams there. There was Cape Town City, SuperSport United, and even Kaizer Chiefs, but there wasn't any concrete offer on the table to consider.
"It was normal that I would be linked to teams because I was free, but a deal would only be reached if there was something tangible on the table."
"Unfortunately, with regards to the clubs in South Africa, there was nothing solid besides all the media talk."
It has now been confirmed that Bwalya has joined Algerian side JS Kabylie on a free transfer after a short spell with Al Nahda, a club in Oman.
The 29-year-old striker has had a nomadic career that has seen him represent clubs in DRC, Zambia, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
JS Kabylie finished seventh in the Algeria top flight in the 2023/24 campaign, failing to secure qualification for continental competitions.
