However, last weekend, the Brazilian was claimed to have directed racist remarks at a ball boy after he took a while to give the player the ball during an U20 clash against Madureira Esporte Clube on Saturday.

The ball boy is understood to have filed a complaint against the midfielder as a result.

Directly after the game, Wenderroscky was taken to a police station in Rio de Janeiro where he was questioned by officers.

After being released, he took to social media to confirm that he was released after authorities probed into the allegations.

"Based on what has been circulated in the media over the past few days, I feel it is my duty to provide a response to everyone who knows me and knows my integrity," the 19-year-old said, per Youm7, who cited Moroccan newspaper 360 Sport.

"The accusation directed at me after the match that qualified Fluminense in the state championship for U20s is a serious matter, and for this reason I have put myself at the disposal of the authorities at every moment to provide the necessary clarifications.

"I testified and waited for the authorities to investigate the facts, and then I was released with a clear conscience.

"Racism is a crime and must be fought resolutely, without compromise, in all areas of society. Football must be no exception, and I take this opportunity to thank all the messages of support I have received in recent days."
