Former Bafana Bafana coaches Pitso Mosimane and Carlos Queiroz have reportedly been included in a five-man managerial shortlist by a CAF giant.
Queiroz has been without a job since parting ways with the Qatar national team in December 2023.
Mosimane, on the other hand, was appointed by Esteghlal FC in October 2024, where he has already been in charge for seven games so far.

Despite this, reports in Egypt now suggest that the South African is being considered for a top job in the North African country.
According to Arabic outlet Botolaat, Zamalek SC are in serious search of a new manager after their boss, Jose Gomes, officially resigned this week.
"I decided to terminate my contract because the circumstances necessary to continue bringing titles to our fans are no longer available. I hope everything improves in this football giant after my departure. This is not a goodbye, but a 'see you later,'" Gomes said in an official statement.
Gomes' departure comes amid reports that he has accepted an offer to manage Saudi Pro League club Al Fateh.
Zamalek, meanwhile, are said to be keen to find an immediate replacement, as the board have reportedly met to discuss a way forward.
The Zamalek decision-makers are reported to have already received several CVs from foreign coaches and they have now also shortlisted some of their own candidates.
The publication Botolaat claims that Mosimane and Queiroz are joined by Argentine boss Hector Cuper, former Morocco coach Vahid Halilhodzic, and Brazilian mentor Rogerio Micale in the five-man shortlist.
In the case of Mosimane and Queiroz, both have managed in Egypt in the past, with the former having had a spell at Zamalek's arch-rival Al Ahly, while the latter oversaw the national team between 2021 and 2022.
