The Algerian FA have reportedly inquired with the Confederation of African Football to investigate what had taken place prior to Orlando Pirates 1-0 victory over MC Alger.
Jose Riveiro's team did everything possible to secure a 1-0 win in a highly competitive match at the 5 July 1962 Stadium on Tuesday evening, thanks to a goal from Mohau Nkota.

The Sea Robbers had to contend with waves of attacks from the People's Club, especially in the first half where the Algerian team was dominant.
In a video shared by SABC Sport before the game, the Buccaneers were seen pouring what is believed to be a liquid between the goalposts during the field inspection ahead of the match.

The report from Emegypt claims that the Algerian federation and MC Alger are alleging that the Betway Premiership side could have applied a prohibited substance at the goalposts before the match.
It remains to be seen if CAF will take the allegations seriously by investigating Pirates.
The two teams will meet again at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday next week.
