Wydad Athletic Club's management is reportedly said to have made a decision regarding the future of the club's under-fire head coach, Rulani Mokwena ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has faced mounting pressure as the club's fans have placed expectations on him in recent weeks following a poor streak of results in the Botola Pro League.
Mokwena managed to achieve positive results during the middle of the season, leading to the Red Castle being in contention for CAF Champions League qualification spots for the next season.

However, the relationship between the Soweto-born coach and the fans deteriorated significantly after the team recorded four consecutive draws and lost second place to AS FAR Rabat in the league standings.
The Moroccan powerhouse currently sits in third place with 43 points, two points behind second-placed Rabat, while RSB Berkane have already been crowned the 2024/25 champions with five matches still to play.
With the pressure mounting on the outspoken tactician, it has been reported that Wydad president Hicham Ait Menna and his board members have given Mokwena a mandate ahead of the Club World Cup and while trying to secure a Champions League spot.

According to WinWin, Ait Menna and the board members have informed Mokwena that if he fails to qualify for next season's CAF Champions League, his tenure at the club could come to an end, which would mean he would miss the Club World Cup.
The 38-year-old gaffer and his Red Castle players will be looking to advance to the Throne Cup quarterfinals when they meet Moghreb Tetuán in the Round of 16 match this Saturday.
The last five remaining league matches appear to be must-wins for Mokwena and his charges, as they aim to impress the club's leadership when they face off against Raja AC in the upcoming Casablanca Derby on Saturday, April 12.
