A club legend has now insisted he will not support the team if Pitso Mosimane is appointed as their new manager.
The South African coach is on the market after parting ways with United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda late last month, and has been linked with a move back to Egypt, this time to Zamalek.

However, reports thereon have now been met with criticism by a former star of the club, Reda Abdel Aal, who "categorically rejects" the idea of Mosimane taking over the Egyptian Pro League side.
Speaking on television show Primo, the 58-year-old, who also play for Al Ahly during his career, shared his thoughts on the South African tactician.
"I categorically reject the South African taking over as coach of Zamalek, and I will not encourage Al-Abyad [Zamalek] if that happens," Abdel Aal said on the show, per El Captain.
"I was the first to demand Mosimane's departure from Al Ahly club, and I was not convinced of his artistic capabilities, despite his winning two African Champions League titles."
The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach spent two seasons with the Red Devils, adding two CAF Champions League titles, two CAF Super Cups and an Egypt Cup to the added to the club's trophy cabinet.

After parting ways with the EPL side, Mosimane took up the opportunity to join Al-Ahli Jeddah and guided them to the Saudi Pro League from the country's second tier, and then joined Abu Dhabi side Al Wahda earlier this year, before parting ways with them in November.
