Shock clause in Kane's Bayern contract revealed

The stunning clause included in Harry Kane's Bayern Munich contract has been revealed.

The England international joined the Bavarians for a club record fee of €100 million (R2 billion), from Tottenham Hotspur in August after months of speculation around his future.

The striker penned a four-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit, leaving the Premier League with 213 goals, just 57 goals shy of Alan Shearer's all-time scoring record.

However, Spurs chairman has now revealed that they have inserted a buy-back clause in Kane's contract in Munich, thus allowing them to re-sign him in the future, according to Metro.

Speaking to Tottenham supporters at a fans forum on Tuesday, Levy said, "We have buy back clause for Harry Kane.

"I'd like to thank Harry for everything he's done for us. He's always welcome back.

"Harry's a much loved and valued member of the Spurs family and forever in our history."

Meanwhile, Kane has confirmed that he does in fact follow how his former club is doing under new boss Ange Postecoglu.

Speaking to the media ahead of Bayern's UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester United, the marksman said, "Fantastic start, I am always keeping an eye on them and think I will keep an eye on Tottenham for the rest of my life.

"I am really happy to see the team playing the way they are, and of course to see their fans happy as well is a great thing.

"I am sure they will be excited to keep that up. They have a massive game coming up, so for sure I will see how they get on over the course of the season."
