An ex-Liverpool star has revealed how he once tried to push his muscle back into his thigh after a horrific stabbing incident.
Former Reds starlet Andre Wisdom's career took a turn for the worst after he was attacked by a group of masked men while on his way home from a house party in Merseyside in 2020.

The 30-year-old began his career at Bradford City before signing for Liverpool in 2008 and worked himself up to the first team, for whom he made his professional debut in 2012.
He then spent time out on loan with Derby County, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City, and Red Bull Salzburg before making a permanent move to Derby in 2017.
It was during his tenure at the Rams that he suffered a career-changing encounter, one involving him trying to shove a muscle back into his leg after a fight had broken out.
"I shouldn't have been there," Wisdom told The Athletic.
"First of all, because it was lockdown and no one should have been having parties, but second because I grew up seeing those types of incidents happen.
"You don't need to go to parties like that, where not everyone is going to be your friend."
The defender further revealed that he tried to fight back in an attempt to avoid sustaining more damage, but had already been stabbed numerous times in the buttock, left leg, chest and head.
Managing to escape the onslaught, Wisdom was driving back to his home when he came across a ghastly sight.
"I checked my thigh and the muscle was almost hanging out of the wound," he added.
"And I made a rookie mistake because I tried to push the muscle back in.
"That's when I started to go dizzy."

After undergoing surgery, he returned to fitness but suffered a groin injury soon after making a return to the pitch. Wisdom only graced the field once again last month, after more than two years, while playing for sixth-tier side Warrington Town.
