Goalkeeper Ederson was heavily linked with a departure from the defending champions before the start of the 2024/25 season.

However, the Brazil international pledged his commitment at the start of the season and revealed he would not be leaving following reports of a fall-out with manager Pep Guardiola.
According to Foot Mercato, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad have opened talks with the Brazilian shot-stopper over a potential transfer for next season.
The report adds that Al-Ittihad coach Laurent Blanc has identified the 31-year-old goalkeeper as a top transfer target.
There could be a big overhaul for City at the end of the season, with Kevin de Bruyne already confirming he will leave while Kyle Walker is also expected to part ways with the Citizens as he is currently on loan at AC Milan.
Should Ederson leave the Etihad, reports claim that the Cityzens could look to make a move for FC Porto and Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa as a replacement although city rivals Manchester United are also said to be keen.
Ederson joined Man City from Benfica in 2017 and has gone on to make 365 appearances for the club so far, while he has also won six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup.
